A Prowling Lion

The devil is known by many other names (titles)

One of which is a prowling lion hunger for unsuspecting prey

He is said to be like a prowling eager to kill and destroy

But perhaps we underestimate the full character of the devil

He is also described as the serpent of old who softly spoke lies and planted the seeds of doubt in Eve

Not that Eve was weaker, but rather less experienced since she had been created a little while after Adam so less experienced

Genesis 3:1
Now the serpent was craftier than any beast of the field that the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden?'”

Which is another title he has been given is The Dragoon of Old

While many in this world image the devil to be dressed in red with a pointed tail holding a pitchfork

Which no doubt pleases Satan, as it gives him the freedom to easily deceive and lead them into all kinds of evil darkness without them even knowing

Yet as Christians, we are instructed to wear the armor of God to protect us from the fiery arrows of the enemy

Lest we become entangled and go astray, for he is a real advisor who delights in weakness and exploits our weaknesses to his advantage

Not that the devil is able to hear your thoughts but knows from experience how to use our weaknesses against us

As he did to me recently, piquing my curiosity enough to check out a video

Which Featured a full-bodied young lady wearing a somewhat revealing outfit

In an attempt to arouse my lustful nature, although I managed to avert my eyes from the revealed flesh, I knew that the enemy was stalking close by eager to pounce.

I shudder at just how easily I could have become his next prey, Lord help me to consistently wear your protective armour

I write about my experience, as a Warning to others

Backslider

This is phrase you don’t hear about these days, not surprising when you consider the depths of depravity this world indulges in

I should know as I was more depraved than I would like to admit, even though I had recently surrendered all to Jesus, and was experiencing freedom far beyond description

This was after too many years of attempting to kick the habit which had by then turned into an addiction

Perhaps due to vanity or just weakness, I allowed myself to take control of my free will when I say “control” I ought to say Lack of control

I backslide and soon was overtaken by the addiction once again, it seems I had forgotten just how quickly you can get entangled and just how overpowering the effects on my mind were

My mind was quickly filled with demanding thoughts, leaving no room for any other thoughts, to the extent that I forgot everyday things I need to do

What little pleasure I gained was short lived and not satisfying at all, yet the urge to continue indulging became even stronger, snuffing out all of my creative thoughts

Leaving me unable to even start another story, until I confessed backsliding back into my porn addiction and knew that this needed to be my next story

Porn is the modern day updated version of Lust, porn poisons the mind filling it so completely, it leave no room and offers no release and certainly no freedom

Even if many may say they are exercising their free will, so they have found freedom, they as I was, they are being deceived or lying to ourselves

Know this fellow Christians any addiction is really slavery binding us with stronger chains than can be imagined, I would rather be a servant to my savior

Than continue as a slave of addition and therefore sin!

Knowing Your Enemy and You Own Weaknesses

This is more of a reminder that the enemy is real, not we should get to know him

Atheists often proclaim “The is no God” this also includes the farther of all lies the devil, as he is the god of this world, thankfully only temporary

Also know many other names, but his original name was Lucifer, but atheists would say that the devil was a fiction character made up by early churches to keep Christians in the darkness of religion

But if the devil does not exist, then why are there devoted followers and websites devoted to Satan, plus the great lengths he has gone to hide himself

While all the time spreading false information about God and His holy word, the Muslims depict Satan as a Gini or spirit creature and not as a fallen angel

But it seems the devil has taken matters into his own hands, for over many centuries he has allowed and probably encouraged false rumours to flourish

Even to the extent of people poking fun at him as if he was mischievous imp with no real power, but this was all part of his sneaky plan to make himself appear so ridiculous that people would then start thinking God was unreal too

Another thing about the enemy is he uses our own weaknesses against us, our anger – frustration and disappointments, and if he can stir us up enough turn love into hate

Blinding us so much we become our own worst enemy, whilst he come across as concerned and supportive friend, which is completely untrue

He takes advantage of our human nature, twisting everything to his advantage, constantly feeding us lies poisoning every thought so much we become incapable of sorting out what is true or false

Which leads to the need to put on the full armour of god on before we attempt to do battle, https://freedomborn.wordpress.com/ has more information about the full armour of god, I know about it but like many others know little of how to put it on

But also keeping the full armour , for the emery will trick you into removing it, with as many lies as it takes so he can then attack fully and begin to pervert your mind dragging you away from your faith
