God is the author and the Bible is the storybook, which full of true events

More than this the Bible is a Love story from God

In story form about many ordinary people who God choose to make extraordinary

While there are many who view the Bible as a bunch of fairy stories, especially atheists

But of course, they do so as this allows them to also discount there being a Heavenly Farther God

Whereas if they acknowledged they would also have to accept the Bible as His living word

Along with the Ten Comments which would expose them as sinners in need of a savior

Which would no doubt be too distasteful to their ego and self-worth

The have been many great writers throughout history including William Shakespeare

Who coined the phrase “The world is but a stage, and we are merely actors” as part of the monologue the pastoral comedy As You Like It

Perhaps there was some truth in that phrase, as each person featured in the Bible lived life through the
passages of the Holy Scriptures

Not knowing the direction their lives would take but they were willing to trust God even when events did not go the way they would have chosen

His word is a light in our darkness, hope in our hopelessness

A joy in our sorrow, and inspiration when we lank and allow ourselves to sink in the mire of despair

Praise God the author and creator of all things, the seen and unseen

God of Love and Hate

While this sounds like a contradiction, especially when we read that so loved the world, He gave His only Son

Since we are all sinners and there is no good in anyone, we all deserve the punishment of hell

But Jesus died for our sins, He freely gave up His own will to do the Father’s will

So that if we admit we are sinners and believe Jesus as our Saviour, we can have eternal life

This is offered as a Free Gift, and can’t be influenced by good work

As a sinner forgiven of my sins and freed from my addiction, I still remember the overflowing joy

I wanted to tell everyone, but of course, the enemy tried to snare me back with lies and reminders of my past, every time he turned up, I reminded him that I was no longer that person from the past

I was a new creation who belonged to God and grateful to Jesus for answering my prayer

As to hate and God, He does not hate in the same we do, for He is LOVE

If He did not, he would not have given up His Son, God provided a way to be saved from our weaknesses and indulgences

 All we have to do is accept His Free Gift, to ask and believe

The enemy soon began dropping the cares of the world onto me, through YouTube videos  

As a new born-again Christian, I was not prepared for the heavyweight these videos bought with them, while at the same time replacing my past addiction to watching videos

One after another I began to feel anger and human hatred, and yet unable till now to be able to stop being drawn in a judgmental state of mind

Jesus although spent His time amongst sinners, he didn’t judge or rebuke them

He either forgave them of keeled them, even though He know all the people would turn against Him and crucify Him

Thus, displaying a far deeper Love than we can even imagine

Christmas Blessings

I had meant to write this just before the blessed day but failed I will not make excuses as these are a form of lying

Though this year has been very restrictive with the unexpected virus and many hardships have followed in its wake

Even though and my family have been spared and remain healthy, I have felt downhearted

Especially leading up to Christmas day, to the point of not celebrating the special day

Then I decided not to allow the enemy to cast down my joy of knowing the Love of Jesus

I dug out the Christmas tree from its stored place and decorated it with many brand-new lights

 As a symbol of hope and shed its light on the dark winter’s nights

With each small light reminding of the many other Christians all around the world singing and praising God, for His love and the Grace offered by Jesus

My blessing to all who read and share this is May your hearts be filled with Joy and true Love

May you all find peace in the midst of troubled times, and the true comfort of God

Where were you in my hour of need?

In your darkest hour of need, I was there to be your light to guide your way

In your deepest depression, I was there to lift you up and give you my endless joy

In your sorrow and grief, I was there to comfort you and hold you as my child that you are

In your loneliness, I was there to be your friend and share my deepest love beyond all understanding

When hatered surrounded you, I offered you my love so rich that even the memory of hate would dissolve away

When you were poor, I offered you my abundances so you would not lack for nothing

When you were lost and strayed far away, I came in search of you to guide you back home to me

In your foolishness, I was patient and with love greater than your earthly farther

In your youthful defiance, when you search for your own way, I was waiting to guide you back to my path

When you were disappointed, I wanted to give you all that you might be satisfied

In every hour of every day, every moment of time I was there for you

In all your life, I have been there for you, to carry you when weary, to love you unconditionally

When you reached out for me, I reached down to you and brought you to myself and held you tightly

But …..

Where were you when they whipped my body?

Where were you there when they crucified me on the tree?

Where were you there when they pierced me in the side?

Where were you when all my followers abandoned me?

Where were you in my hour of need?

The depth of Love

I have take care of my lovely wife all of our married life, but because of my vanity I thought she need me

Only to find years later that I need her more, because of her bubbly personality and enjoyment of life

In February of this year my wife had several seizures and had to be taken to hospital, after seven weeks was transfer to a rehab to help gain balance when walking

However due to the change of medication in both strength and frequency, my wife was taken back into hospital and it looks like they are reluctant to admit they may have been wrong and therefore alter the dosage or strength

Almost to the point of ignoring the effects of content vomiting and setbacks are having on my wife and myself

In spite of all the frustrations and disappointments, my wife remains mostly in good spirits

Which I admire and love her more than ever before, as well as experiencing new depths of love

At the same time the pain and anguish and so helpless to alter the situation, I begin to understand the depth of Christ’s love for us all

As I lurch from almost hysterical laughter to tears filling my eyes and wrenching at my heart, it is at these times I give it all up in prayer to God

Not a unfeeling god of stone or brass, not a god of war – not a distant unapproachable god, but rather a God of love – compassion and a God who became human and therefore understands our struggles and weaknesses

A God who is willing to bear our sorrows and who was willing to suffer greatly, far beyond our comprehension with the deepest of love

Unconditional Love

Love can be the most emotional experience we can get involved in, it is way too easy to use the phrase “I love you” especially towards someone close related

How about unconditional love? Can we even image such love? Especially when this love is extended to those who irritate or even hateful

Do those type of people deserve any kind of love, let alone unconditional love?

But by saying this, we are being judgemental in other words saying we are better than others

It’s a sad fact that all humans too easily see the faults of others while ignoring our own

So it’s a case of removing the log from our eyes, before attempting to remove a speck from someone else’s eye

I know I have at least on irritating habit (I’ve been told) which I ignore most the time, and so I know there are many sins in my life that I stubbornly cling too, that not only blind me but also bind me

Grieving the Holy Spirit instead of allowing it to cleans and transform me into the person God wants me to become

We can all experience unconditional love by accepting the free gift of forgiveness offer by God through the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus dying for our sins

Not just one sin, but all sins of everyone in the world past and present and if that thought does not overwhelm your mind, it should do

As Christians we are called to love one another and forgive those who trespass against us, by doing so we will demonstrate a small and beginning part of unconditional love

By giving this kind of love, as the children’s song goes “Love is something if you give it away, Give it away give it away.  Love is something if you give it away. You end up having more

This is the title of a powerful pop song, and the ongoing chorus throughout the very dramatic video featured on YouTube

The song expresses through the singer the desire to discover a long-lasting and meaningful relationship with a woman, to share and express human love

However wonderful human love within a relationship maybe, human love is only a poor reflection of the love God forgave us while we were yet sinners

For within his sacrifice of his son, God tells you, “I love you completely and unconditionally” and “My love for you has no limits”

Even though parts of your life, even you dislike and you  try desperately to ignore, there is nothing hidden from my sight even though  I can hardly bare to look upon them

 I have chosen to forgive even though you can’t forgive yourself, for I love and accept everything unique about you that makes you the way you are

So come to me when you are weary or confused or frustrated, for I will never turn you away.

If you seek answers, come to me and ask, for I will answer you and give you want and need

Come to me when you are weary and drained by even the effort, for I will replenish you

You shall be my most prized possession, though you often lose your way I will guide you back home to me and welcome you with open arms

Then you will begin to experience the vast oceans of my power, and the depth of my love

For I am the way and know the course which I marked out for you.

Though your heartaches I will embrace you and comfort you, showering you with my affections so that your heartaches will be remembered no more.

For you are so very precious to me, My Love. You are the tenderness and affection of my heart.

When you need me most I am here ready to lift and carry you, for I will never leave you

 I AM what love is!

Laughter a Joy onto the soul

In answer to a question about what is a laugh, Kenny Dodd once said “There are many layers of laughter, like a rainbow which starts with the brightest colour white.

The purest of laughter is that of young children

When you pass a school playground, you will their laughter which is just the simple joy of being alive

The sound of this laughter can lift your spirits and is a to your soul, the soul to that sacred home of pure being and all admirable emotions

Such as love – joy – compassion – kindness – thoughtfulness – consideration

There have been many times in my life when someone’s laughter has touched my soul and lifted me up from dark and troublesome times

When my heart had been heavily laden and my mind is also troubled, thankfully the sound of my wife’s laughter dispersed all the darkness

My wife is like Peter Pan, she never wants to grow up, at least in her mind and heart, for within the soul of us all lies the childlike joy that is expressed through the sound of laughter

What a dark and gloomy world this would be without love or the beautiful sound of laughter, for love and laughter have the power to defeat even the darkest and loneliest moments of life

Along with the innocence of childhood, those young children possess the ability to enjoy life just for the pleasure of being alive
