Life as a follower of Jesus Christ has never been without a price to pay, in the past many early Christians were thrown to staving lions as a source of entertainment by the Romans

Others were stoned to death such as Steven, but all those from the past were considered martyrs and later revered as saints

Later on, in time many Christians suffered and died rather than give up their faith

This still happens in the present day in other countries Christians risk losing their lives for sharing their faith or even owning a Bible or for criticizing what the culture believes to be their holy prophet  

In these present times, it seems the enemy changed to a more subtle approach

By using spiritual attacks, which by their very nature can not be seen but are proving to be just as deadly as the divide and conquer tactics.

With the use of lies that spread quickly throughout a congregation of believers.

Causing doubt and distrust both of which are strong and effective corrosive tools.

The enemy seems to have enlisted all atheists and most of the world through the use of the internet, seducing some by appealing to their vanity

Other though their addictions even Christians are being led astray by false teachers and prosperity preachers who appeal to human envy and greed

The enemy also haunts recent converted Christians with their past sins, whereas God forgives and forgets all sins of those who have asked and truly repented

I have undergone many of those spiritual attacks since I was forgiven and surrendered my life even though my free will is no longer mine.

Whenever the enemy either temps me or reminds me of my past, I remember that Jesus willingly suffered and died for all my sins “All I am and belong to Jesus my Saviour, He forgave me and has made me a new creation, Him alone I worship”

Praise the Name of Jesus

Thou have created all things and for your pleasure, they are created

Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress and my deliverer. My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Praise the name of Jesus

He’s my rock, He’s my fortress

He’s my deliverer

I will sing His praises for Jesus is worthy of praise

He was patient with me while I stubbornly clung to my increasing sinful nature

Jesus forgave me of all my sins as a gift even though I didn’t deserve His forgiveness

Jesus also freed me of my sexual addiction, freeing my mind and giving me a new heart

So that I would begin to desire the things of God and He put a new spirit within me

Teaching me and guiding me even through times of trouble and hardships, He is my comfort and true and faithful friend

When I consider all, He has done for such a sinner as me I can scarcely take in

With the pain, the suffering that He willingly went through I stand amazed in humble adoration

There is no lie that can be told or argument that will shake me from knowing that Jesus is my Lord and He is worth praising every day He gives me breath

These present days the Bible is either considered outdated or just a bunch of fairy tales

As believers, we are frequently called bigots for many reasons and we are often classed as foolish or arrogant because we affirm that Christianity is the only true faith

Whereas atheists frequently remind us that there are thousands of religions and holy books which have many devoted followers who believe their holy book and religion is the true one

So what makes Christianity any different?

First of all other faiths are works based, whereas Christianity is based on the free gift of forgiveness, that no other faith offers

Moreover, Christianity is based on a relationship with Jesus who offers to be our personal Saviour if we admit we are sinners and are truly repentant and ask for forgiveness

There are those who would kill off all the need for an intelligent designing god and say Jesus is just another myth dying and rising god.

To add more supposed proof atheists created a film discussing all the supposed dying rising gods with the aim to discredit Jesus.

Heavily relying on most people including some Christians not bothering to double-check out the so-called facts

The glaring truth of the falsehood of the entire film was that all these supposed Jesus like myth gods were portraited all the same features

From the virgin birth done to all the other features of Jesus, where in fact none of them had any of these features.

The biggest giveaway was they were all claimed to have been born on December the 25th

When all true Christians know the date of Jesus was not given in the Bible, and that date was only introduced much later in history as a way to help “Christianize” all heathens

Dear Brothers & Sister in Christ

I write to encourage you and share what has been revealed to me of late. Not that I think myself above any of you or chosen where others have not been

No, I readily confess I was a wretched sinner, not merely indeed, but in every lustful thought.

I had eagerly entangled myself with such lust, that there was no light in me at all, I hid away from His light

For even the merest glimmer of His light made me shudder with guilt so that I would scurry away deeper into my darkness, in vain hopes of finding comfort

But there was none to be found, no joy, no peace, no hope, nothing but haunting lustful images, that flickered taunting me to draw closer, with every burn they robbed me of more and more of my soul

But The Lord was patient and faithful, He knew how my addiction to lust had lured me away from Him, the Lord knew I had willingly given up my free will, and accepted lust fuelled by porn to enslave me.

I was blind, but now I see,

I now see that porn and lust are on and the same, with no power to hold us, unless we freely give it to them, in exchange for brief moments of what we perceive as ecstasy, but disappears quicker than the morning dew.

I tell you this, porn is self-cantered, promising much, but delivers emptiness. While you submit yourself the porn will dominate you

No matter how much porn you seek, no matter how much thrill you may gain.

There is No physical contact, No intimacy, No Sharing, No tender caress, No Joy, No Love

Remember these words if nothing else, when temptation tries to arose you

Also remember how much Jesus suffered, how much pain and anguish He went through, to be able to offer wretches like me and you, such a wonderful gift of forgiveness, given with such love that is beyond our understanding

No Real Self-control

From personal experience I found that self-control is not a possibility

At lest with the old self, as expecting the old self to discipline itself, is unlikely to happen

For the old self is Self-cantered, Selfish and wants only its own way, Self-indulgence

The only way to gain self-control, was by dying to my old self, and asking God to transform me into a new creation

Once I was born again, and I was free of my old self, and all my sins I had committed due to my self-indulgence

As a new born child of God, I found His comfort and peace, was amazing and far better than the false freedom my old self offered

Which turned out to be no freedom at all, rather it quickly turned into slavery through addiction

At my darkest point I had no rest from images that flooded my mind, even when I could sleep, they danced around in my dreams, taunting my relentless

Whereas becoming a new creation child of God, and all that has taken place since, has been beautiful and amazing

That Jesus willing suffered and died such a cruel death, so my sins could be forgiven, is beyond my wildest imagination, that He loved me even though I had strayed so far from Him

I would rather become a servant for Christ, than have remained a Slave of lust

Every day He gives me breath, I will sing His praises

False Freedom

I have over the years watched many videos, some with those who claim to have been a Christian and then for assorted reasons “Broken free” their words

They attract many comments from others who have chosen what I call a false freedom

So who am I that I dare to call their seemingly new freedom false?

I am someone who had thought I was a Christian, not because of my parents although they were married in a church along with marriage vows

But rather through Sunday school attendance (which I was told about later on in my life

Sometime later when attending a local school, where they read passages from the Bible every morning along with

I have over the years watched many videos, some with those who claim to have been a Christian and then for assorted reasons “Broken free” their words

They attract many comments from others who have chosen what I call a false freedom

So who am I that I dare to call their seemingly new freedom false?

I am someone who had thought I was a Christian, not because of my parents although they were married in a church along with marriage vows

But rather through Sunday school attendance (which I was told about later on in my life

Sometime later when attending a local school, where they read passages from the Bible every morning along with Christian Hymns

In those days I had no reason to doubt any of the stories which were read, even though it wasn’t until the readings began in the New Testament

That I and other pupils were introduced to Jesus, even from the beginning of His story, I was totally enthralled with His character and words

In those simpler days, I was a true child of God, never doubting

But as I aged towards the teenager age, fleshly desires grew stronger and began to weaken my belief

Further on as the desires gained stronger hold, the enemy used others to spread his lies

One being that Jesus was gay since He only mixed with men including His disciples

This thought sidetracked me so well that I began to think I must also be gay too, adding yet another dark and perverted path for me to wander onto

This was well before the current “gender confusion” and the idea that you can choose and alter your own gender, whatever gender you may have been born

What I and others didn’t stop to think about, is the fact every child is the product of two parents, one male, and the other female, so it’s little wonder that we might feel a stronger attraction towards the opposite to which we were born

I like many others I invited excuses (Lies in disguise) “I’m only human, I need some pleasure in my life” “I’m not hurting anybody” “It’s my body, and nobody else’s business what I do” and many more other excuses

 

Where were you in my hour of need?

In your darkest hour of need, I was there to be your light to guide your way

In your deepest depression, I was there to lift you up and give you my endless joy

In your sorrow and grief, I was there to comfort you and hold you as my child that you are

In your loneliness, I was there to be your friend and share my deepest love beyond all understanding

When hatered surrounded you, I offered you my love so rich that even the memory of hate would dissolve away

When you were poor, I offered you my abundances so you would not lack for nothing

When you were lost and strayed far away, I came in search of you to guide you back home to me

In your foolishness, I was patient and with love greater than your earthly farther

In your youthful defiance, when you search for your own way, I was waiting to guide you back to my path

When you were disappointed, I wanted to give you all that you might be satisfied

In every hour of every day, every moment of time I was there for you

In all your life, I have been there for you, to carry you when weary, to love you unconditionally

When you reached out for me, I reached down to you and brought you to myself and held you tightly

But …..

Where were you when they whipped my body?

Where were you there when they crucified me on the tree?

Where were you there when they pierced me in the side?

Where were you when all my followers abandoned me?

Where were you in my hour of need?

Children in Prayer

Children in prayer what a wonderful concept, as we all become children of God  when we acept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour

We can all have the pure hearts of children, as our sins are already forgiven

Whatever real age we are, we are loved by Jesus as His own children and should never feel it above ourselves to kneel in prayer just like the image above

I found the image inspiring and felt compelled to draw my own version and now I’m happy to be able to share it with all of you who visit my blog posts

Children in prayer, so pure in heart

Never let your childhood love depart

Even when you age beyond your childhood

If you love the Lord your God as you should

You will remain as children in my sight

So with my love I will protect you both day and night

Oh To Be Holy

I recently read a blog post about obeying and pleasing God as two separate parts of the same process of becoming Holy

However it was unclear about just how one becomes holy, was becoming holy the end result of partaking in obedience and therefore getting to know God and then being able to please Him

The process starting with accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, by obeying the commandments, which Jesus simplified when asked replied “You shall love the lord your God, with all your heart and soul and love your neighbor as yourself”

We might think reducing the number of commandments, down to two should make our lives a whole lot easier, but that wasn’t what Jesus intended

But He was just pointing out if we obeyed theses two then we would also obey all the others without extra effort

But “how do we love God?” By obeying first, and then seeking to please Him, by getting to know God on a personal level

A personal God was something Einstein could not bring himself to accept

It is said another part of holiness is to practice self control, although somewhere else self control is said to be part of the fruits of the spirit, along with patience and goodness

Self control is not something we humans willing do or find easy at all

We are to die to self when we invite Jesus into our lives, and from one of the older commandments “Judge not lest you be judged” which we would not do if we love others as ourselves

Buddha is said to have attempted to gain a higher level of self through self control, but never it seems never searched for God or believed there was a God

Although he believed in nirvana a state of peacefulness or a place of perfect peace and happiness, much like heaven.

I wonder did Buddha consider himself to being holy?

According the the internet, Buddha did not believe in any kind of god (which ought to please atheists) Buddhists believe everything is changeable. What exists is changeable and what is not changeable does not exist

So perhaps that’s why he didn’t even consider believing in GOD, as God is immortal and never changing

Believers Unite and let Our Light Shine

In this increasingly disbelieving world full of those who would put an end to all religions if they were able

Even though they have not yet figured how to accomplish this yet, they never pass up the opportunity to criticize or poke fun at any believers they come across

With their main aim towards Christians, by using evolution and twisted passages from the Bible

Along with insulting name calling of God and demanding real proof of Jesus, as they argue he never lived and was just yet another fairy story from the bible full of such stories

Even amongst Christians the enemy has driven a large wedge of separation using the old tactic of divide and conquer

I recently watched a video the other day featuring David Attenborough – Richard Dawkins – Richard Leakey – Jane Goodall Debate on how we should tackle the issue of saving our own planet

With Jane Goodall saying if there were one species that if it became extinct, would help to save this world, it would be us humans

Further on also said we need to reduce the population of earth, and this was agreed upon by other debaters, although not offering any ideas of how or who would decide how this would be done

Another problem which was discussed, was poverty and that those barely living in that situation must be taught not to desire the wealth and lifestyles the west enjoys

After watching up till this point in the video, it occurred to me that we Christians need to get involved with all of these problems by praying about the problems rather than trying to solve them

Although many religions and churches already involve themselves, the Salvation Army is one of those groups who not only believe in Jesus and preach the word but also minister to the poor and needy

Even the Jehovah Witnesses go to other countries when a disaster strikes, even if they do this to further their influence, at least they help rather than talk about the situations

Dear brothers in Christ let us put aside our differences and name banner we go under, and stand together to show the rest of the world that we care enough to take action and let the light of God shine through us and make our little lights shine brighter than the sun

For we are called to love one another and to uplift each others spirit and to preach the gospel, and to shed light in the darkness

So that through us God’s love and goodness might be seen and all who witness us doing Gods will, and they too shall praise God
