Both of these groups consider themselves rationally thinkers and judging by the amount of time and effort they put into their attempts to educate us stupid Christians, we evidently annoy them greatly

Atheists spend much of their time commenting on Christian videos, either mocking or leaving insult remarks which in turn prompts Christians to respond in assorted ways

Some respond with Bible quotes or personal comments, but it seems to me both groups are wasting time and energy

Atheists such as Richard Dawkins insist that this world would be better off without any religion and the Bible along with other holy books are just a books of fairy stories

Richard and others like him think it’s their duty to eradicate all traces of every religion, by re-educating all believers and convert us into their considered understanding

They often refer to Christians as brain washed, and not capable of rational thinking, and they say we should be like them and question everything, even though questioning everything is part of the human nature

Atheists state it is because of Christianity in particular is holding  the progress the human race and only when all traces of all religion has been wiped from our minds will humans begin to reach their full potential

Turning to another group who on the surface could be considered religious, those who teach or follow the teaching of The Secret, who have been known to use passages from the Bible

Including words spoken by Jesus, which they manipulate to suit their own teaching while they attemptt to appear to support Christian faith teachings, but only to make their abundance claims more appealing

Not forget all those whose earnest desire is to bring about a one world religion, which to them seem the way to avoid more wars, by integrating all religions into one mismatch belief

It occurred to me while writing this that atheists freethinkers need all religions especially Christianity to keep them active, less they lose their driven passion

Likewise Christians need atheists to keep them on fire for God, in reaction to the sharp edged remarks about God, Jesus and the Bible

As for me I certainly needed prodding from atheists to stir and rekindle my faith fire, through scathing remarks I came across in Christian YouTube videos

If I had not read those mostly unkind remarks, I might have plodded along into deeper apathy and even fallen away from believing altogether

So I often thank God for turning my addiction and apathetic situation around by directing me to those comments from several atheists

Where were you in my hour of need?

In your deepest depression, I was there to lift you up and give you my endless joy

In your sorrow and grief, I was there to comfort you and hold you as my child that you are

In your loneliness, I was there to be your friend and share my deepest love beyond all understanding

When hatered surrounded you, I offered you my love so rich that even the memory of hate would dissolve away

When you were poor, I offered you my abundances so you would not lack for nothing

When you were lost and strayed far away, I came in search of you to guide you back home to me

In your foolishness, I was patient and with love greater than your earthly farther

In your youthful defiance, when you search for your own way, I was waiting to guide you back to my path

When you were disappointed, I wanted to give you all that you might be satisfied

In every hour of every day, every moment of time I was there for you

In all your life, I have been there for you, to carry you when weary, to love you unconditionally

When you reached out for me, I reached down to you and brought you to myself and held you tightly

But …..

Where were you when they whipped my body?

Where were you there when they crucified me on the tree?

Where were you there when they pierced me in the side?

Where were you when all my followers abandoned me?

Where were you in my hour of need?

Daily Life of a Caregiver

I write this press release about my daily life as someone who cares for his wife, not to boast, but more to inform those who don’t realise what is involved

Also for those who like me who take care of someone, so that they too may be given the recognition they deserve

As to myself I gave up my job and became a full-time caregiver, but not realizing at the time just how full-time this was going to be

For starters, I had to learn what medications my wife was on, including the dosage and strength of each tablet she takes, and that has changed over time

Also during our first year of marriage, not only adjusted to married life but also witnessed first-hand just how strong and violent grand mal seizures can be

At times I attempted to hold onto my wife through these seizures so she would not fall out of bed but this felt something like riding a bucking bronco

Other times when we went out my wife would crash to the floor without warning, far too quickly to grab hold of to slow the fall, which was unnerving to me and made me feel helpless

I also took over household duties, such as cooking – washing clothes – shopping – managing medication and money management

On days when my wife was unwell from the after-effects of a seizure, I would need to help her get dressed

All of this on a daily basis, more or less and continue to do so over 35 years of marriage, at the time of writing this.

Believers Unite and let Our Light Shine

In this increasingly disbelieving world full of those who would put an end to all religions if they were able

Even though they have not yet figured how to accomplish this yet, they never pass up the opportunity to criticize or poke fun at any believers they come across

With their main aim towards Christians, by using evolution and twisted passages from the Bible

Along with insulting name calling of God and demanding real proof of Jesus, as they argue he never lived and was just yet another fairy story from the bible full of such stories

Even amongst Christians the enemy has driven a large wedge of separation using the old tactic of divide and conquer

I recently watched a video the other day featuring David Attenborough – Richard Dawkins – Richard Leakey – Jane Goodall Debate on how we should tackle the issue of saving our own planet

With Jane Goodall saying if there were one species that if it became extinct, would help to save this world, it would be us humans

Further on also said we need to reduce the population of earth, and this was agreed upon by other debaters, although not offering any ideas of how or who would decide how this would be done

Another problem which was discussed, was poverty and that those barely living in that situation must be taught not to desire the wealth and lifestyles the west enjoys

After watching up till this point in the video, it occurred to me that we Christians need to get involved with all of these problems by praying about the problems rather than trying to solve them

Although many religions and churches already involve themselves, the Salvation Army is one of those groups who not only believe in Jesus and preach the word but also minister to the poor and needy

Even the Jehovah Witnesses go to other countries when a disaster strikes, even if they do this to further their influence, at least they help rather than talk about the situations

Dear brothers in Christ let us put aside our differences and name banner we go under, and stand together to show the rest of the world that we care enough to take action and let the light of God shine through us and make our little lights shine brighter than the sun

For we are called to love one another and to uplift each others spirit and to preach the gospel, and to shed light in the darkness

So that through us God’s love and goodness might be seen and all who witness us doing Gods will, and they too shall praise God

Anger – Frustration and the Power of Stillness

Anger had been welling up inside of me all day, or that’s the way it seemed at the time.I knelt on the floor intending to complain or even argue with God, I could feel my anger and frustration welling up demanding to be set free

Although if someone was to ask me now why I was so angery, I could not say or remember.

All I recolect is I felt I might explode and could continue no longer, so I knelt on the floor intending to complain or even argue with God, I could feel my anger and frustration welling up demanding to be set free

My body shivered not just with the cold of the night air, but also the powerful force of my anger, as I opened my mouth to speak I hear the words “Be still”

I found unable to speak as a quietness spread over me like a velvet blanket, enveloping me in such an indescribable peace, my hand tenderly held as I journeyed into the very presence of God

My anger and frustration began to float out of me, rising as steaming water, no longer bothering my mind or soul – no longer mine to cling onto

Quietly at first sweet music played from a distance, gradually it came closer or perhaps it was I that moved, whichever it was soon it enveloped me so complete my body – my soul rose up with the increasing crescendos

Entering into such beauty – such wholeness surrounded I lost self-awareness so completely

I became just a tiny speck of this immense oneness, this experience was beyond feelings or anything I could have ever imagined

As there was no sense of time, I could not how long I remained there, but I hope the memory will linger on and remain with me for the rest of my life

Slowly after what seem forever, my spirit descended back into my body which shivered once more, for it had missed my spirit and jolted at its arrival

This empty shell my body which the Holy Spirit of God had given as one of many gifts, for now I appreciated all of those gifts as I had never before

I was now so full of unexplainable joy I could not help myself and burst into praise songs, with such force my body shook once again, and trembled with the awesome power that still linger within me

All that frustration and anger that had so tortured my mind and body were but a faded and distant memory, replaced by this sweet gentle and wonderful peaceful love.

Even though my body and mind now told me to rise, I didn’t want to leave even though I was now aching, reluctantly I whispered Amen.

I arose stiffly from my kneeling and stretched and once more raised my voice in praise, turning away left my room to return to what would never quite be normal life again

I’m not sure when it happen that WordPress update the comments within the admin section, from the left side where it was before to tthe right hand side

As the writer of this blog I am still getting notice email when there is a new comment waiting for my approval

But following the link given in those email, does not take me to where I can approve them, plus I am unable to even see any comments unless I go to preview of my posted story

In order to see any comment now you need to click on the small bell image on the top right, but I found I can only “Like” and not approve!

Which is why I am writing this to ask if any other blogger using WordPress is having this problem and what you think about this unannounced update

If it was announced  I for one missed seeing it, but I would like feedback for other blog writers, and I apologize in advance for any delay in approving comments

Lies vs the Truth

Have you noticed how many places on the web, spew out lies about the Bible and Jesus

All to ready to totally dismiss the Bible as fairy stories, but when this fails other lies are used, to say the main characters Moses and Jesus didn’t exists

So how can we know which a lie is and which is the truth?

The simplest way to tell is, wait and see how long these rumours (lies) last, they all seem to be fairly short lived, whereas the true remains for years

Plus there will be newer lies pass around, to replace the older ones that failed to convince

 

Allow me to remind you of some of those lies, in order you can see them as a hollow shames

“God was an alien” as in a creature from another planet, but since God is eternal and created all the planets, the alien is just another lie to belittle God

“God is dead” & “there is no God” these two contradict each other, as if god couldn’t be dead if there was no god in the first place

 The Bible is just fairy stories made up by ignorant nomadic tribes 

But this could only be partly true, as the Old Testament or Torah was written by those tribes, but not the New Testament

Moses & Jesus were not real people, they are borrowed stories from other cultures

“The great flood and the ark of Noah, could never have happened, or the would be evidence”

However why is Venice still a city of water?

 

There are other such lies, but this will do for now, as I wanted to move onto those concerning Jesus, many of these lies may been forgotten but where eagerly passed around as true

No 1: In the not so distant past, there was a rumour, Jesus was homosexual, only because he associated with only men, but this was a lie and short lived

Mary Magdalene became a faithful follower and Jesus also forgave another women her sins of adultery

It also seems that there were a group of female followers headed by Mary Magdalene

No 2: Jesus did not died, he was replaced by someone else who looked like him

But Jesus must have died, because he rose again and appeared too many crowds, and also to his disciples

If Jesus was not crucified and therefore did not die then there could be no resurrection and as Paul said “We are to be pitied more than any other people”

Even in these modern days Jesus appears and they are converted and their lives are transformed

No 3: Jesus was just an ordinary man and not a god or son of god

This is untrue as Jesus would not have been able to forgive sins, which he did on more than one occasion, if he did not have that authority and therefore declare himself God in doing so

As you will see there has be a variety of lies that conflict with each, all claiming to be reasoned truths 

Believers know him  as the father of all lies, a deceiver a twister of the truth

To such an extent Satan allowed himself to be ridiculed and even encouraged people to mock and portray him in many ways ranging from powerful and frightening to little more than an impish and playful figure while devising new ways to dishonour the name of his creator

Whispering lies that would take root which would grow into doubts, which later on would grow into disbelief of a loving god, in the minds of believers

Satan – Beelzebub – Devil – Father of lies – Lucifer are just a few of the names Satan is known by, the titles of the Father of lies describes his personality the best

For he will use anything as a weapon even using the word of god, when tempting Jesus, failing miserably he must have decided if he could discredit the Bible as fairy  stories he would stand a better chance of defeating God

In this process Satan hide himself away by cloaking his appearance in human’s minds frequently altering their perception of himself

As his image has changed over time, from the fallen angel,

Also by providing humans with anything to distract them long enough to implant doubts and strange ideas they would later claim to be the result of their intelligence and ability to reason

Providing false evidence of the alternative to creation, which would strengthen his lies and make them appear to be the truth

While appealing to the base nature of man, with ideas of temporary enjoyment in the guise of freedom, suggesting that humans should please themselves and there was nothing wrong with doing so frequently

Even to the extent feeding them false information that this life is our only onee, which should be lived to the fullest, ignoring any restricting instructions (10 commandments

Hence the eat drink and be merry attitude of self-indulgence

While gathering followers for himself, by appearing to be an easy going undemanding deity of creation and encouraging them to worship him, which was what Satan had secretly wanted

Actually debate is the wrong word, as with a proper debate both sides enter into it and discuss their side of the argument

However this is not the case, as tis discussion for want of a better suited word, is one sided

Let me explain, Christians upload praise videos with assorted Hymns and other praise songs as a way of uplifting those Christians who either need encouraging or just enjoy joining in the praise by singing along or adding thanks’ for those who uploading the collection

Then along comes the atheists with their snide uncalled for comments, which results in counter remarks from Christians, and so this lope sided discussion begins

I have listened to many arguments and read many comments given by the atheists who will argue against Christianity and creation

So I thought I would look at this argument from an objective point of view, and not as a Christian, although I am and have been nearly 67 years

Therefore will not be including passages from the Bible, but rather explaining the atheist point of view and way this logic if taken to extremes could do a U-turn turn on the very same argument

The general argument goes something like this, the Bible is made of for fairy stories written by superstitious nomadic tribes, and more over the Bible has been proved to be wrong on many occasions

But considering the time in history the “Old Testament“ (The Tora ) was written, it’s fairly comprehensive for “superstitious” people, moreover why would any people wish to have themselves portrayed in such a unflattering way as contained with the so called “fairy stories”

The atheists says that all the contents of the Bible just stories and never really happened, moreover the main characters within these stories never even existed

The atheists a that Moses was not a real person, and neither was Jesus and there for believing in Jesus is foolishness and therefore Christians are stupid

Atheists often quote evolution has been the force behind all life on earth, along with the big bang theory to explain how the universe itself was made

At a basic level what they are saying is that, there is no design –as “evolution all living life just happen” so every living creature on the planet came to be as a random series of chaotic flunks or mere chance

As they would argue there was no any intelligence or creator behind the whole process

To them this point of view is logical, but I wonder how moany have this logic to the ultimate conclusion

Which is if there was never any intelligence or creator involved, and everything was brought about by pure chance, then all of human achievements – inventions and complex devices were also brought about by pure chance

Even our creativeness and intelligence would count for nothing, for if they follow their own logic, everything humans have even done, would have come into life without our efforts or even thoughts

As to the big bang theory and it being proved by the Hubble telescope that our universe and even time itself had a beginning when the big bang happened

The big bang itself was caused they say, by a massive compact collection of matter in the form of a fireball, which seems to be hanging around within a void (emptiness – before there was space)

But nobody that supports this odd idea has any suggestion where this fireball came from or how it hung in empty space (as there was no space for it to be in) and where it came from

In fact many of those who support the big bang as the answer to the beginning of life, will not even discuss what might have been before the bang happen, or why it should explode and how was it controlled so exact

As atheists and scientist would say nothing can come from nothing

Richard Dawkins a well know atheist, stated “evolution was not random chance or chaotic” but rather an slow process of natural selection (Darwin’s theory)

Creative thoughts & creativity

Creative Notions

People seem to have the misconception that only a select few are able to unleash a steady flow of creative genius.

That is not true at all, in fact, is, creativity is very much like a muscle that needs to be exercised in order to consistently give out great results.

If you don’t practice harnessing creative thinking, this skill may cease to exist, but keep exercising this skill and creative notions will soon come to you in a snap.

So how do you unleash your creative thinking? The first thing is to acquire and absorb as much knowledge as you can find. Read everything available, although factual information is best for building your knowledge

However, reading for pleasure may help to inspire you and keep your mind open to the infinite possibilities of the universe. The more you know, the more you’ll want to know, and the more your sense of wonder will be exercised. Prepare to be amazed at little facts that add a bit of colour to your life.

Focus on a creative activity every day, even doodling is a creative activity. for people who are just starting out to unleash a little bit of creative thinking in their lives, it is helpful and encouraging to have positive evidence, that you getting somewhere.

So why don’t you try something creative, maybe practice drawing for a couple of minutes each day or start using your unused camera and start snapping photos like crazy?

Keep a journal and make a point to write in it frequently, another cool idea is to write by describing something with your five senses, but try to avoid vague adjectives like “marvellous,” “amazing,” and “delicious.”

Before you know it, you’ll have built yourself a tiny portfolio, and you’ll be amazed at the growth you’ve undertaken after amassing all those works of art. Who knows, you might actually take to liking those things you do every day. Pretty soon those things will become an important part of your life

Think out of the box — or not?  Sometimes, constraints are actually a good thing. Limitations discipline you to work within your means. It enables you to be more resourceful. Creative freedom is great, but limitations enforce discipline.

Try something new every day and let your experiences broaden your perspective, and explore a new district in your neighbourhood. Spend an afternoon in a museum that you have never been to before.

Talking to someone on the bus even if it’s only about the weather, is always a good subject to break the ice, be prepared to thrust yourself out of your comfort zone more and more each day your sense of adventure grows and so does your zest for life.

However you need to be considerate to others and not push yourself onto others who wish to remain quiet, you should always be willing to respect others’ privacy

Think about this, when was the last time you did something for the first time? If it’s been a while, I tell you, you’ve been missing out on a whole lot of experiences that could have added to your growth, emotionally, mentally, physically, or even spiritually.

If you are brave enough, why don’t you try bungee jumping? Not only will you learn, but you will also have plenty of stories to share, enabling you to practice your storytelling skills just as you don’t become a bore or sound like a know it all

Every creative thought was once deemed insanity by other “normal” people at one time or another. Luckily, that didn’t stop the creative geniuses from standing by them. The thing is,  being normal confines people to think within limits. Creativity essentially breaks through barriers.

Which can include even the bizarre and the downright strange, it is important you should always be in control of your creative personality, so your creativity doesn’t get you detached from the real world completely.

I hope this article has inspired you to start thinking beyond your “limits.” If you follow these steps pretty soon you’ll be living a life full of interesting adventures.
