A Prowling Lion

The devil is known by many other names (titles)

One of which is a prowling lion hunger for unsuspecting prey

He is said to be like a prowling eager to kill and destroy

But perhaps we underestimate the full character of the devil

He is also described as the serpent of old who softly spoke lies and planted the seeds of doubt in Eve

Not that Eve was weaker, but rather less experienced since she had been created a little while after Adam so less experienced

Genesis 3:1
Now the serpent was craftier than any beast of the field that the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden?'”

Which is another title he has been given is The Dragoon of Old

While many in this world image the devil to be dressed in red with a pointed tail holding a pitchfork

Which no doubt pleases Satan, as it gives him the freedom to easily deceive and lead them into all kinds of evil darkness without them even knowing

Yet as Christians, we are instructed to wear the armor of God to protect us from the fiery arrows of the enemy

Lest we become entangled and go astray, for he is a real advisor who delights in weakness and exploits our weaknesses to his advantage

Not that the devil is able to hear your thoughts but knows from experience how to use our weaknesses against us

As he did to me recently, piquing my curiosity enough to check out a video

Which Featured a full-bodied young lady wearing a somewhat revealing outfit

In an attempt to arouse my lustful nature, although I managed to avert my eyes from the revealed flesh, I knew that the enemy was stalking close by eager to pounce.

I shudder at just how easily I could have become his next prey, Lord help me to consistently wear your protective armour

Praise

Based on a Hymn Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty

The second line is “Early in the morning our praise will rise to Thee

That line came back into my memory and inspired me to get out of my bed early as it says

To raise my praise to the Trinity

My praise

Heavenly Farther thank and praise you for the many blessings you bestow on my family and myself

Thank you for the many answers to my prayers

Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you were willing to suffer and die on the cross at Calvary, to forgive me of all my sins

May the Holly Spirit continue to transform me into the person you would have me be

Teach me, guide me, inspire me, so that I may bring glory to your Holy name

Thank and praise you for every day you give me breath, that may offer my praises to you

Amen

He Has Risen

The world celebrates Easter with chocolate eggs and other indulgences

Whereas Christians celebrate the risen Christ Jesus, by proclaiming

“He has Risen”

Knowing that He died in our place so that we may be forgiven

We can truly rejoice and praise Him with every beat of our new hearts  

As the Holy Spirit continues to transform us so that we may bring glory to His Holy name

With every breath and with every fiber of our being, may our praise never cease as long as we may live

To serve our God and Him alone

May this be true of me and every other Christian

Amen

The Fruits of the Spirit

I do not boast for I have no goodness of my own, but rather a small but growing fruit of the spirit goodness

In Galatians 5:22-23, Love, Joy, Peace, Forbearance, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-control

As with the eating fruit, the Fruits of the Spirit both take time to grow and mature enough to blossom and bear fruit

After being set m free and forgiven of my sins, I experienced an unexplainable joy

Which was promptly replaced by an overwhelming sadness that so many of the world hated God and even the name of Jesus offended them

It seemed I was directed back to YouTube video exposing false teachers who were busily fleecing the flock which preach anything but the Gospel

My new heart I had been given God allowed me to begin to experience and understand His hatred  

At the same time, my patience continued to grow and strengthen my self-control

My heart ached that I could do so little to reach out to all these poor lost souls

I started praying for prosperity preachers individually as they are beyond my contact reach asking the Holy Spirit to touch and convict them so they would come to know His saving Grace

That they would repent and turn away from their sinful lives before it’s too late

I need the help of prayer warriors to join me in praying against the widespread wackiness that continues to spread and growing stronger with every passing day

Reaching out quest

Before this year ends my heart is sorely troubled

Since we appear to be in the last days as born-again Christians, I have an increasing desire to do what I can to help save atheists from God’s wrath and hell

First in prayer, later in writing warning articles that may irritate them, but hopefully they will plant a seed that will convict them of their sins through the power of the Holy Spirit

But atheists are not the only ones there are many prosperity preachers who need praying that they will repent and ask for forgiveness

They will be more challenging to reach as they are unlikely to read comments on YouTube where they seem to appear

I may need to find another way to contact them if possible

Perhaps someone can offer support by adding advice

If any Christian reader feels led by the Holy Spirit to join me in this quest

 I realise this quest might be too must for one person to tackle on my own

Your comments and prayer will be appreciated

What does it mean to wait upon the Lord?

For some reason, the phrase “Wait upon the Lord” popped into my mind

As I was unsure, I started searching, because I thought it could mean I need to “Wait on the Lord” by becoming a servant.

Then again it could have meant I need to be patient for God to answer my prayers

Among the search results was this “The world has so many things they want to offer us on an instantaneous silver platter” basically treating God as a genie

The results of my search were the scriptures, the word wait means to hope, to anticipate, and to trust. To hope and trust in the Lord requires faith, patience, humility, meekness, long-suffering, keeping the commandments, and enduring to the end

Now I understand I pray the good Lord will help me “Wait upon the Lord”

Even though the fruits of the Spirit take time to grow and flourish, even though I know I have been “born again” and God has given me a new heart.

My flesh still fights against me and attempts to regain control through the evil one who lurks in the shadows of my mind ready to accuse or tempt

I will lift up my praise to my Saviour in thanks for all He has done

For whenever, temptation comes my way I remind myself through grace I am a new creation and the things of my past died on the cross with Christ Jesus

God of Love and Hate

While this sounds like a contradiction, especially when we read that so loved the world, He gave His only Son

Since we are all sinners and there is no good in anyone, we all deserve the punishment of hell

But Jesus died for our sins, He freely gave up His own will to do the Father’s will

So that if we admit we are sinners and believe Jesus as our Saviour, we can have eternal life

This is offered as a Free Gift, and can’t be influenced by good work

As a sinner forgiven of my sins and freed from my addiction, I still remember the overflowing joy

I wanted to tell everyone, but of course, the enemy tried to snare me back with lies and reminders of my past, every time he turned up, I reminded him that I was no longer that person from the past

I was a new creation who belonged to God and grateful to Jesus for answering my prayer

As to hate and God, He does not hate in the same we do, for He is LOVE

If He did not, he would not have given up His Son, God provided a way to be saved from our weaknesses and indulgences

 All we have to do is accept His Free Gift, to ask and believe

The enemy soon began dropping the cares of the world onto me, through YouTube videos  

As a new born-again Christian, I was not prepared for the heavyweight these videos bought with them, while at the same time replacing my past addiction to watching videos

One after another I began to feel anger and human hatred, and yet unable till now to be able to stop being drawn in a judgmental state of mind

Jesus although spent His time amongst sinners, he didn’t judge or rebuke them

He either forgave them of keeled them, even though He know all the people would turn against Him and crucify Him

Thus, displaying a far deeper Love than we can even imagine

Spiritual Warfare

Life as a follower of Jesus Christ has never been without a price to pay, in the past many early Christians were thrown to staving lions as a source of entertainment by the Romans

Others were stoned to death such as Steven, but all those from the past were considered martyrs and later revered as saints

Later on, in time many Christians suffered and died rather than give up their faith

This still happens in the present day in other countries Christians risk losing their lives for sharing their faith or even owning a Bible or for criticizing what the culture believes to be their holy prophet  

In these present times, it seems the enemy changed to a more subtle approach

By using spiritual attacks, which by their very nature can not be seen but are proving to be just as deadly as the divide and conquer tactics.

With the use of lies that spread quickly throughout a congregation of believers.

Causing doubt and distrust both of which are strong and effective corrosive tools.

The enemy seems to have enlisted all atheists and most of the world through the use of the internet, seducing some by appealing to their vanity

Other though their addictions even Christians are being led astray by false teachers and prosperity preachers who appeal to human envy and greed

The enemy also haunts recent converted Christians with their past sins, whereas God forgives and forgets all sins of those who have asked and truly repented

I have undergone many of those spiritual attacks since I was forgiven and surrendered my life even though my free will is no longer mine.

Whenever the enemy either temps me or reminds me of my past, I remember that Jesus willingly suffered and died for all my sins “All I am and belong to Jesus my Saviour, He forgave me and has made me a new creation, Him alone I worship”

More Than Dreams

Dreams are a common occurrence in every human, yet for many people dreams disappear as soon as they awake.

Other people have the ability to remember all the details of their dreams

In the Bible God often used dreams to teach or instruct those who He had chosen

Then there was Joseph would not only receive dreams from God but could also interpret the hidden meaning.

Although this skill was not always appreciated by those, he explained their dreams too

While the days of Joseph remain in the past, there have been many others who claim to understand the meaning of dreams.

Some have written and published books on the subject of dreams and offer their acquired knowledge for a price. While they try to hide their involvement in the dark crafts

 Whereas these video series offer free access to all the dramatized films of followers of other faiths, who encountered Jesus in their dreams
